Let not your hearts be troubled

When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.

Lord,

When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.

You know when anxiety knocks at the door of my heart and threatens to overtake me, but you Lord are my chosen portion and my cup. The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Make it deeply known to me in my inner being that the lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

I thank you that you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind as your word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7. This is my inheritance. Help me to receive it. I choose to cling to you today Abba Father.

Help me to remember your promise to me in John 14:27 when you said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” I can walk in your peace because your presence is with me in every moment.

Thank you for being my refuge from all anxiety and worry. My mind, body, soul, and spirit rest secure because you have chosen me as your beloved. I will rest in this truth today despite what the voice of anxiety says.

Allow me to be transformed by the renewing of my mind through intimacy with you Lord. I cast every care onto you.

In Jesus' name,

Amen
